I woke up this morning with a splitting headache, so I downed a couple of these with my first cup of coffee.

Today was supposed to be my day off, but I helped out a friend and picked up a couple of hours for her because she needed some time off for personal reasons. So I will be sitting here soon, hopefully without my pounding head.

I’ll be done working at noon, then we’ll have some lunch and then it’s time to get started on my daughter’s room. She has finally, after 2 years, decided on a color to paint her room, so I’ve pulled the nails out of the walls, and patched all the holes. This is the size nail the previous owners used to hang pictures. There were 2 of these in the studs above the closet door and I actually had to use vice grips to slowly pull them out. If I had used a claw hammer there would have been indentations in the dry wall and I would have had to repair those too.

We’ll spend the afternoon taping off the wood trim and then, hopefully, we’ll start painting. Pictures will be coming soon!

    I don’t envy you the job of painting. I just finished my bedroom and my girls’ bedroom. I still have to paint the kitchen, living room, and hallway. It will be a while before I tackle that, though. I’m just too worn out from the first painting project.

    Mom- I know how you feel. I was gung ho when we first moved in 2 years ago, but I haven’t painted anything for a while. My daughter never could decide what color she wanted, so we waited. The hardest thing now will be moving all the furniture!
