We Need to Simplify – Remotes Out of Control

posted in home |

We have 3 televisions in our house that we use on a fairly regular basis, one upstairs, one in the family room and one in my daughter’s room. Connected to each t.v. is a satellite box and two of the televisions also have additional audio video equipment attached. Every single box, including the box that is the t.v., comes with its own remote control which leads to a whole bunch of remote controls, none of which seem to be able to be easily operated! To give you a better idea of what I’m talking about, here are the remote controls I have to deal with for the family room, upstairs t.v. room and daughter’s room:

It seems that we have to use one remote to turn on power, another to change the channel or volume, and yet another if we want to watch a dvd or play a video game. There are some remotes that I have no idea what they even do and yet, there they are, collecting dust! Life around our house would be so much easier with the Yamaha neoHD, a new remote control that can handle each and every piece of equipment, including the television, all from one single remote. Think about how much easier our lives would be and how much smaller the remote clutter pile would be.

You can earn your own neoHD by entering the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes at blog.izea.com or by Tweeting: “I just entered to win a #neoHD b/c I have too many remotes, visit (blog.izea.com) to enter”. By the way, you can also check out neoHD on Facebook.

Seriously, how many remotes do you deal with in order to watch a simple television show or movie? Will you be entering the contest to get your own Yamaha neoHD remote?
