I cannot believe it’s almost Halloween! Personally, Halloween is the start of my weight gain season, so I don’t necessarily look forward to this time of year, but for my daughter and husband, I do believe it is their favorite holiday. Of course, I do think all the costumes and decorations are a lot of fun, it’s all the candy and sweets that I can’t handle. I love all that stuff, can’t seem to stop myself from eating it and I really wish I could keep it out of the house and thereby keep me away from temptation.
Seriously, I’m not the only one in this house that I have to worry about either. If there is anything chocolate in this house, it will get eaten and there may even be a fight over who gets to eat it! Watching over the family’s nutritional intake is a huge responsibility, made even more difficult with all the yummy treats arriving for Halloween.
Trick Or Treat Me is a website dedicated to providing useful tips for healthy living while still having fun at Halloween. We all recognize that there are an abundance of treats this time of year, piles of candies at the stores, treats brought home from school and sweets baked by friends and neighbors. It’s knowing the right treats to eat that can satisfy our sweet tooth and still maintain a nutritional balance that keeps us healthy.
As an added bonus check out Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter and a donation will be made to the World Wildlife Fund for each click on Twitter. I don’t personally Twitter yet, but for those of you who do, and I know there are millions who do, this is a great campaign and truly worth your Twitter time!

Your Word is “Fearless”
|

You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it!
You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.
Sometimes your fearlessness means you’re daring. You enjoy risky activities.
And sometimes your fearlessness means you’re courageous. You’re brave enough to do the right thing, even when it’s scary.

My sisters have been so busy lately I just don’t know when they’re finding the time to create all these beautiful bags, but here is yet another one.
In the past few weeks they’ve both spent weekends in Nashville and another in Louisville and yet, I’ve lost count of the number of completed purses and tote bags they’ve made. In fact, they’ve been sending me so many photos, I lost track of which one made this beautiful black and white bag that includes tons of interior pockets and a top zipper closure.
I do know this bag is for sale if anyone is interested!

I have been asked to review the website mylife.com and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. You see, my 30th high school reunion is quickly approaching and I have actually received a few emails recently from people I have not spoken to or heard from in at least 25 years. So many memories come flooding back into my head when I even see these people’s names and in a way, it makes me want to reach out and get in touch with others I went to school with.
MyLife is a people search website that can help you find just about anyone, anyplace. So, all those people I went to school with 30 years ago, I could attempt to find them and even contact them if I wanted to!
I did type in several different names into the MyLife.com website, unfortunately, I didn’t get any results. The website access a variety of public databases to find the person you are looking for. If I choose to register with the site, they will continue to search, even if I don’t have success on my first try and will notify me with any results. They will even let me know if there is anyone looking for me! To get any personal contact information, I would also have to register, but, membership is free and it is very easy to join.
If you happen to be searching for anyone, maybe a long lost love, this might just be the site for you!

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend! It FINALLY quit raining here in north Texas and so it is a softball filled weekend for us.
The alarm went off at 5 this morning and we were on the road at 5:45, headed to Arlington, about a 75 minute drive. My daughter’s fastpitch softball team had an 8 am game and then another at 9. They played their first bracket game at 11:30 which they won 13-1 (it was called on the mercy rule) and went on to play the next bracket game at 4. Unfortunately they lost their last game so we will be returning tomorrow morning for another 8 am game. It is double elimination, so I hope they win in the morning, it’s a long drive for just one game.
In the mean time, we are enjoying some nice dry weather, a bit humid, but at least it did quit raining after 8 straight days.
Sorry for not returning drops, but I’m exhausted. I do wish everyone a Happy Weekend!
