Craft Tote – For All Your Craft Toting Needs!

posted in sewing |

I’ve been busy, trying to keep up with work, family, blogging, EC dropping and sewing.  I let my sewing go for a while, I just wasn’t feeling inspired, but I turned my sewing machine on again the other day and finished this project.  I had actually started this Craft Tote Bag about a month ago and just didn’t feel like finishing it.  The main reason?  I despise sewing binding!

So, I finally sucked it up and sewed the binding on.  I then finished it by adding the ribbon on the ends and attaching the handles.  I really do like the way it turned out and today, I started a second bag in a different combination of colors.  You’ll just have to wait and see, hopefully this one won’t take me so long!

This is the perfect bag for carrying a knitting or crocheting project.  It’s long enough to handle a pair of knitting needles and has a Timex inner lining for strength and support.  This bag can stand up on its own,  thanks to the Timtex interfacing.  To hold everything inside, it has a loop and button closure and, as you can see, plenty of interior pockets.

I love it! The colors are so pretty. I made a cell phone and camera bag today. No pattern. Bought way too much at the quilt shop today! Yikes!

    I love this bag!!

It’s the perfect ladylike bag for my smallpipes (a sort of bagpipes).
It’s all a menthing at the band. So it’s black bags, black cases.
Why didn’t I think of this before.

    You’re fabulous!!

Oooh, I’d love that bag for a knitting project! You can never find a bag to hold your knitting needles that isn’t too large.

This is a fun bag, Lynne! I love the ribbons at the side and the fabric-covered button.
I once used Timtex, but I found that, due to turning the bag, I couldn’t get rid of the creases! Oops.

This is a beautiful and practical bag. I love the colors and the pockets on the inside. I know what you mean about binding. I’ve delayed a few projects for that reason myself.

I love it! You know, I have tried a bag or two for my knitting but they always have velcro which gets caught in the yarn. I think your button idea is excellent.

The colors just make one feel like stepping out proudly of the house just for a reason to carry it. I have not touched patchwork for a long while and only sew occasionally. I tried to stay away from pc as much as possible due to problem with my right hand until my blog just disappear for not renewing in time! So I decided to quit my job with Delta last month and had a good rest.

Love the bag!! I haven’t done much sewing lately. But all that will change! I bought a sewing bag book and I’m just trying to try out a couple of patterns. Now…. just to find the time.

Laane! You are so funny! This particular bag was my prototype so I wasn’t originally planning on selling it. Because of that though, I’m willing to sell it to you for a reduced price of $28 including shipping (I know you are international, don’t worry!) Let me know if you want it and I accept payment through PayPal. :-D
