Cardinal in Winter, originally uploaded by the_sewingmom1.

Isn’t this a fabulous photo?! My sister Grace took this photo of the cardinal, located in Eastern Kentucky.

Darn – I forgot the math prob. so have to start over.

But anyway, that is an awesome picture. I have tried to get one like that before, but the birds never seem to pose for me – lol.

Hope you have a great day :)

I LOVE this picture! Cardinals are very special to us – they remind us of my father, who used to love them too.

Sue – Sorry about the math problem! Glad you reposted your comment. I can never seem to capture a good photo of any bird. By the time I get my camera out, they’ve flown away!

This is a gorgeous picture. Cardinals are said to be lucky birds. Reminds me of a picture I have to dig up that I took. It was a Cardinal sitting on a for sale sign at my parents. I hope it wasn’t one of the many that got deleted when I partitioned the wrong hard drive.

Last night we had what was supposed to be a snow storm come through Charlotte, NC. All night I listened to, not snow but sleet. We have about 3″ on the ground right now and a possibility of more tonight. I love watching birds and my computer is by a window with a feeder. I’ve had some of the most beautiful birds coming to eat and even had 2 crows stop by. I love watching birds and with the weather as cold as it is, they fluff up their feathers and look twice their size.

Martha – I saw Charlotte on the news this morning and it was looking pretty bad, and cold! My sister lives in far Eastern Kentucky and is experiencing pretty much the same snow storm.
I love the birds in winter too, must be a heavy undercoat of feathers, but they usually look so fat!
