A New Softball Bag for A New Season of Softball

softball bag, originally uploaded by the_sewingmom1.

I made this zipper bag a few months ago because I needed something small enough to carry with me to the many softball tournaments we attend and secure enough to keep my money and cell phone safe.

With all the rain we had last fall, I didn’t get the opportunity to use it because the games kept getting rained out! Well, in the mean time, I sold the bag…. so, I plan to make a new one! I’ve even found another pattern I want to try.

Tomorrow is our season opener and we plan to leave the house at 6:15 am to get our daughter to 7 am warm ups for an 8 am game! Holy cow, why do we always get assigned the early start time! The thing is, you guessed it, it’s supposed to rain tomorrow! Well, if it does, I’m going fabric shopping and do some sewing on a new bag and possibly even a cell phone case. I’ll let you know how it goes, either way!

So was wondering how the game/weather went. If it didn’t turn out well then I hope the sewing project got done. My kids are grown but we were a sports related family and I think it kept our kids out of trouble

Christi – I’m so glad you stopped by! I’ve been sewing for so long I don’t really remember a time when I wasn’t sewing! Of course, I’m not so creative in other areas, so guess it’s good to have something! :-D
