Not So Wordless Wednesday – Applique

This quilt block was sewn together by my mom, Myrna. If I remember correctly, there will be a total of 9 appliqued blocks which will come together to create one of the most beautiful quilts. The applique is all pieced and stitched by hand and mom is doing a beautiful job, don’t you think?! She gives away most of her quilts, but this one she is making for herself and will display it proudly in her own home.

    Thanks Sue! I’ve slowly been learning to quilt. Actually, I’ve done quite a bit of piecing, but have only completed a couple of small quilts by myself. Whenever my mom visits I try to get her to show me more techniques.
