Favorite Flowers

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 1-800-Flowers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Oh My! Aren’t these tulips absolutely beautiful? If you can’t tell from my blog theme, I love tulips! They are by far, my favorite flower and this bouquet shows so many of their lovely colors.

I don’t personally send or receive flowers too often, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy them! With tulips, there’s no need to wait for a special occasion either, they are beautiful and thoughtful, no matter when you receive them! I have however, been thinking of ordering a special flower delivery for one of my dear friends who has been battling breast cancer for quite some time. I know, even though she tries hard to stay positive, there are days when she feels like she can’t go on with the fight. I feel like these beautiful tulips would be a great way to not only show that I’m thinking of her, but help brighten her surroundings. We can certainly all use a little pick me up now and then and she is fighting a very difficult fight. I think this colorful bouquet is just right to help lift her spirits.

We live hundreds of miles away now, so I find it easy to use http://www.1800flowers.com to place my order. I also know that the flowers delivered in a timely manner. If you need to send a favorite someone flowers for any reason, you might consider 1800flowers.com too.

Happy Father’s Day!

This is pretty much indicative of how we spent our day! We started by taking my husband out to brunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Then, he actually wanted to go to Home Depot to get a new plant for the patio, so, since it was his day, that’s where we went! We followed that by a quick trip to the market to get some steaks for dinner, and then spent the rest of the day at the pool. It’s way too hot to sit out of the water, about 100 F, so our afternoon was spent IN the water!

We did grill our steaks and some veggies on the grill too for a wonderful dinner. Now we’re going to sit back, watch some t.v. and eat the cheesecake slices we brought home with us this morning.

What did you do to make Father’s Day special?

Mail Call Revealed

Okay, so I posted yesterday about my excitement over getting a package in the mail and how I tore it open to see the contents. Now I know you’ve come back to see what was inside that package that had me so excited right!

Well, here it is, the Tidings panel from Nancy Halvorsen.

12 days of Christmas 003

This panel simply needs a backing fabric (I just have to choose one from my stash) and then I need to complete the 25 fabric ornaments which are pretty simple. They then attach to the advent panel via a thread loop and buttons sewn on to the panel.

12 days of Christmas 004

I love all things designed by Nancy Halvorsen so I just had to have this when I saw it!

Victorinox Swiss Army Watch For Father’s Day Gift

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Voctorinox Swiss Army. All opinions are 100% mine.

I cannot believe that Father’s Day is this coming Sunday! WOW! Time is flying by in a hurry! My daughter and I spent time today finalizing plans for the big day, we want to make him feel special after all!

My husband is somewhat difficult to buy for, mainly because everything he wants is way out of my price range. I do believe that this year though, I found him something that not only will he love, but, I can afford! You see, my husband is a collector of watches. He is very particular about the watches he wears, but he owns quite a few. His collection ranges from antique watches to new ones. He has specific criteria he looks for when buying a watch and I found one that I know meets all of his demands, looks fantastic, and is in my budget. The Victorinox Swiss Army AirBoss Mach 3 has so many great features:

* Made in Switzerland with precision Swiss analog quartz movement
* Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment
* Stainless Steel case with screw-in caseback
* Luminous hands, numerals and hour markers
* Inverse chronograph function for optimal thumb operation
* Chronograph 12hr, 60-min, 60sec, 1/10th sec
* Bi-Directional rotating inner bezel with countdown scale
* Date Calendar
* Genuine Leather Strap
* Water Resistant to 100m (10 ATM, 330 FT)
* 43mm case diameter

There are many other Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces to choose from. If you need a great gift, be sure to take a look! Also, become a fan at the Facebook IWAW sweepstakes page where 30 fans will win a Victorinox Swiss Army timepiece, one winner every day for 30 days.

So, what are you doing for that special dad in your life?

Mail Call

I received a package in the mail! I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE getting mail (other than bills!). So, I open the mailbox, and pull out this lovely item…

12 days of Christmas 001

My heart was pounding, it was all I could to not sprint back into the house so I could rip it open! It’s close to 100 F outside though, so not the best weather for sprinting, not to mention I don’t need neighbors thinking I’ve lost my mind. I calmed myself down and casually walked back into the house where I tore open the package and happily pulled this out…

12 days of Christmas 002

Oh! I’ve got to go to work, I’ll be back later to let you know what is in that lovely package!
