Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I LOVE the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series of movies and I can’t wait to see the next release. I only have to wait until May 20, 2011!

My favorite is still the first one, “The Curse of the Black Pearl”. Which one is your favorite?

Not So Wordless Wednesday

This speaks for itself, but it really is my favorite speech of all time.  I can’t imagine there is anyone who hasn’t seen this, but whether you have or haven’t, I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

Do you have a favorite moment in Charlie Brown’s Christmas?

Oh Christmas Tree!

Christmas Tree Quilt

Isn’t this so pretty?! My sisters and mom made this for me! I have it hanging on a wall in my family room that, up until just a few days ago, had remained bare until I hung this holiday quilt. The colors are perfect for my room and I love the prairie points that from the tree.  They added a button star and some crystals for ornaments and they twinkle when the light hits them.  I am so appreciative to have such a great family!

Softball Superstar

Dirt

Congratulations to my daughter! She learned today that she made the JV softball team for high school! She is thrilled because only a few freshmen get selected for this team and it puts her that much closer to her goal of playing varsity. Of course, she will also continue to play ball with her travel team, so it will be a busy spring!

School Projects

So, my daughter got home from school yesterday and informed me that she has to cook something French to serve to her French class on Thursday. Mind you, she gets home at 4 in the afternoon and we then leave at 4:30 for her batting lesson and at 6:30 we were at a softball booster meeting for the high school. Needless to say, the French cooking has dropped into my lap today. So, I will get off of work at noon today and head to the store to purchase ingredients. Her first choice is Vanilla cream stuffed crepes. Well, we’ll just see how this works out, I am by no means a French pastry chef!

Wish me luck!
