The Small World of Blogging

My name is Lynne and I am a blogger.  There are times when I feel like I should be in a 12 step program for my addiction to all things internet!  I know I spend way to much time on the computer, but I just can’t seem to help myself.  Of course, if I got off the computer, I might find the time to dust off my sewing machine and get back to some of that beautiful fabric I know is waiting for me in the other room.

Anyway, back to my blogging.  Besides being addicted to my computer, there are times I feel alone as a blogger.  There are many, many blogs I visit on a daily basis, and many of those I comment on and receive comments from.  We are blogging friends.  Over the past few years since I’ve started blogging, I have only ever actually met 2-3 people in real life who also blog, not including my sister Karen who got me started, and even set up my blog for me.  So, imagine my pleasant surprise when I logged in today and found a comment from someone who not only has her own blog, but lives in a neighboring town and, most important, actually shops a one of my favorite quilt shops, Happiness is Quilting, located in downtown McKinney. WOW! It really is a small world!

So, let me introduce you to my neighbor, fellow sewer, and new blogging friend Martha. Please check out her blog, I found it to be very pleasing to the eye and she has some great project she has completed and shared.

    Isn’t it fun to meet up with a local blogger? I have a lot around here and I like to meet up with them and just talk blogs. Most other folks don’t know what it is we are talking about half of the time, so it is nice to find someone who does what we do. It’s funny to see my friends faces when I tell them I’m meeting with a blog pally!
