Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

posted in family |

We spent the day together, a quiet day, being creative. We dyed 2 dozen eggs, made our Easter Bunny cake and a nice ham dinner. My favorite part of the day is spending the day together. I believe that is part of Easter after all, spending time with the ones you love, cherishing each other. What did you spend today doing?

You said it all. That is what Easter is all about. Spending quality time with your family. We all got together at my wife’s parents house. A great time and wonderful ham.

That cake is so cute. Once, before cupcakes were so popular and you could buy entire baking sets to make a giant cupcake, I tried to make a giant cupcake cake using different size pans and instructions from some Mom magazine. It was a complete disaster and waste of my time. But the instructions had made it look so simple. I later realized that there was something left out of the instructions so I sent the magazine a scolding letter and blamed them for my failure. That was my last attempt to make food look like something else.

I so love those easter eggs, we never had anything like that when I was a little girl. Ours where pastels only! Yours are much prettier.
