The Sewing Mom

Housework comes before Sewing only in the dictionary!

About

I am currently a stay at home mom of one daughter and have been married for almost 21 years. I have spent my entire life moving around the country and have continued with our latest move a few months ago from Chicago to Dallas. I grew up an Air Force brat so we moved about every 2 years. I figured out a few months back that the longest I have ever lived in one place was 7 years and that where we just moved from. My husband tells me he doesn’t want to move again, this was a big commitment from him, and so I’m hoping this is it. We really like our home here and are hoping that once school starts our daughter will make as many friends as she had in IL.
As if being a mom, moving and trying to revamp our new home isn’t enough, we just adopted a new puggle puppy who is keeping me very occupied. I’m trying to learn my way around the blogging world that my sister introduced me to while at the same time trying to train our new dog. I think the dog is winning out right now!
I enjoy visiting many blogs and have found so much helpful information which is one of the biggest reasons I am following along with the 101 Steps to Better Blogging.
Besides enjoying the internet, I like to sew, scrapbook and read. I don’t have nearly enough time for any of these, but it is my personal goal to find more time to do these things that I enjoy.
I hope you will come back frequently for updates, subscribe to my feed and click Add to Technorati Favorites to add me to your favorites.

    Lynne,

Shera built tabs into my template design. So I just made another tab for it and linked to my post where I copy and pasted my blog roll. I use blogger so not sure how you make the tabs for wordpress.

Laura - I know I have tabs built into my theme, so I might try it out and see what it does. I’ve managed to get my “do follow” and PPP blogrolls into tabbed pages, but then again, they were simply placing code, not having to put everything in a post. I’m learning as I go!
    Thanks for the help. :-D
