My Nephew is Getting Married!

My Nephew is Getting Married!

My nephew has announced that he and his fiance will be getting married in 2009!I realize that 2009 seems like a long ways away, but, for planning purposes, it’s really never too soon to start. The more time you have to plan something as important as your wedding, the less stressful it can be. Plus, they are both currently attending separate colleges, working on their MBA’s, so they want to finish that before they get married.I know that they have all ready decided on the wedding date, they have the church booked (I believe) and the reception hall reserved. They will be getting married in Indianapolis and I know it will be beautiful.

My nephew even started a blog to keep us all updated on what they’re doing. He’s given us all an opportunity to “vote” on different things such as the cake and the tuxes that the guys will wear. Have you seen wedding cakes recently. They’ve always been beautiful, but the things they can do with frosting now is amazing! Many of the cakes are now in color, very interesting!

I’m not sure if they’ve chosen their invitations yet. I was web browsing the other day and ran across 1stClassWeddingInvitations.com and I believe they had hundreds of wedding invitations to choose from. It would be so hard to pick just one!  The site lets you customize your own invitation and then preview it online.  They’ll even send you a sample.

I was just clicking through pages, they have them organized by theme, and I was surprised at what I found under the beach wedding invitations category. When I first read the category name, it made me think very casual and informal. Instead, what I found were very pretty, formal invitations printed on high quality paper with beautiful script. There were several that I liked, but I particularly enjoyed the Ecru Beach Sunset invitation. It’s pictured at the top of this post. I love the photo of the sunset and the ecru colored paper. It feels warm and inviting while still maintaining a sense of formality for the occasion.

I’m definitely going to suggest this website to my nephew (Greg, if you’re reading this, you two need to check it out!).  They also have several ways of reaching their customer service department, email, phone and a frequently asked question page. I love that they provide instructions on how to “assemble” the wedding invitation! I believe this is an important part of the entire process and they provide step by step instructions. They go on to provide information on addressing the invites. They even provide a wedding planning calendar and helpful tips on wedding etiquette.

I am looking forward to their wedding. Not only does it give me an excuse to travel home, but I know the two of them are going to be very happy.
