A Branson Thanksgiving

This post brought to you by Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

We traveled to Branson, Missouri this summer and had an absolutely fabulous time.  There is so much to do, not just in Branson, but the surrounding area.  We rode the Duck Boats around and in the lake, we shopped at Branson Landing and we even rode a Zip line!  It was really hot this summer and I’ve often thought about how much more we would have felt up to doing had we not felt so worn out from the heat.

One of the few times of the year that my husband, daughter & I all can get off from work, school, softball and all other activities, is Thanksgiving.  So, I’ve seriously been thinking about going back to Branson and staying at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing.  I like the location, it’s right where all the wonderful shopping is, and the beautiful fountain goes off on a regular basis, so it’s just a relaxing and convenient place to stay.  Of course, the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is directly across the street, so it’s a very quick walk to Branson Landing with all of the same convenience.

Right now, both hotels are offering special package deals including the Silver Dollar City package.  I’d like this one because we wanted to go to Silver Dollar City, but it was just so hot this summer.  I know I’d enjoy it much more in the fall with the cooler temperatures.

If we go over Thanksgiving, I’ve learned that the Level2 Steakhouse

Heading To Branson!

This post brought to you by Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am so excited!  We are really, finally, amazingly, taking a vacation!  It’s only going to be for four days, but I am thrilled that we’re actually going.  So, where are we going you ask?

We’re going to Branson!  My husband grew up in Missouri, visiting the Ozarks fairly regularly, but I’ve never been.  I’ve always heard how beautiful it is.  Branson has grown so much in recent years and has become a destination filled with activities for everyone.  Seriously, there really is just about anything you could want to do, whether is sports, outdoor adventures, shopping or entertaining shows.

We’re thinking that while we’re staying at the Hiltons of Branson we will definitely check out the shops and restaurants at The Promenade.  We’re meeting both my sisters, their husbands and my mom, so we’re thinking it might be fun to rent a pontoon boat and spend a day out on the lake.  My daughter actually has the week off from softball, but the USSSA is hosting the gilrs age 9 & 10 National Softball World Series Fastpitch Softball Championship in Branson next week, so maybe we’ll attend a game or two.

The  Hiltons of Branson are currently offering the Branson Best Value Vacation Package which includes the 3rd night of your stay for free!  Plus, besides the hotel room, the package includes wo adult and two children’s tickets to the Legends of Kung Fu show at the White House Theater in Branson, MO, two adult and two children’s two-day passes to Silver Dollar City®, a $25 gift card for shopping, and a $25 food credit for Level 2 Steakhouse.

So, I’ll be away from my blog for a few days, we actually have a weekend of softball south of Dallas this weekend.  We’ll get home and head to Branson the very next morning. I can’t wait!!  I’ll be sure to post photos when we get back.  ::-)

Y-M-C-A!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sing it with me (and don’t forget to stand up and do the hand motions)!  Y – M – C -A….

Seriously, YMCA has to be one of the most memorable songs from the 70’s and is still played today at parties, get togethers and sporting events.  Wouldn’t it be cool to see this song, and many more great hits from the 70’s performed live?  Now you can.

On May 13th, 2011, the Village People, along with Maxine Nightingale and Janice-Marie will be putting on a 2 hour extravaganza at the Branson Tri-Lakes Center in Branson, Missouri.  Following the show, the performers will all be available for autographs and fan photos, a rare opportunity.

Branson has so many things to offer, there’s always a good reason to go there, but it’s pretty “groovy” to go see all these stars from the 1970’s.  The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is offering a Village People Concert Package that includes two 70’s Supershow tickets –featuring and a one-night stay for 2, starting at only $219. Before the show you can visit some great shops and restaurants at the Branson Promenade.  After the show, relax in on of the fantasticly comfortable “Serenity” beds at the Hilton.

By the way, if you’re going to Branson for any reason, Hilton is a great place to stay.  Don’t forget to also check out the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel which is connected to the Branson Convention Center.

So, tell me, what’s your favorite Village People song?

Ready For Vacation

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

I know, we just got back from Kansas City, but there is another location in Missouri that I’ve always wanted to go to and that’s Branson.  My sisters have been working on finding a time this summer when we could all meet in Branson and spend some time together.  I’m not sure we can make it due to my daughter’s softball schedule, but it doesn’t keep me from checking out all the activities in Branson just in case our schedule allows us to go.

I would love to stay at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing because it’s located right in the middle of some great shopping and wonderful restaurants.  Easy access means less discussion as to what and where we want to go!  Branson Landing is actually a waterfront area that hosts the Hilton, plus over 100 stores and restaurants overlooking the Taneycomo lakefront.  Honestly, I’d probably be quite content to spend all my time right there!  Right across the street is the Branson Convention Center and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel with all its full service amenities.  Both of these look to me to be beautiful hotels.  I’ve also heard that there is an amazing fireworks show over the water on July 4th.  My whole family would love that.  The photos below show the beautiful fountains at Branson Landing.

I think we would all enjoy visiting Historic Downtown Branson as well.  There are so many wonderful activities to choose from in Branson, it’s difficult to narrow it down.  We all enjoy outdoor activities, light hikes, maybe a boat tour on the lake.  My brother-in-laws enjoy fishing and there is plenty of opportunity to fish in Branson while us ladies go shopping!  The kids of course would want to go to an amusement park and there are several to choose from.

I think Branson is a great destination for a family vacation, don’t you?

Silver Dollar City Missouri

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

My husband’s birthday is the end of July and I’ve all ready informed him that we will be taking an extended weekend vacation so he needs to request the time off from work. He amazingly agreed and so I’ve been so busy making plans, deciding where to go.

He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and I’ve always heard stories of summers spent visiting the Ozarks and the Silver Dollar City amusement park. Imagine my excitement when I learned that the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is offering a special Silver Dollar City Package and that Silver Dollar City is celebrating its 50th anniversary! I know we will have an awesome time and the thought of taking our exhausted bodies back to a beautiful Branson hotel for a great night’s rest, sounds like the perfect long weekend to me, and I’m sure my husband and daughter will both agree.

I know my husband has such fond memories of his family visits to Silver Dollar City and it will be interesting to see his reaction to the theme park all these years later. I’m sure most of the rides have been updated, but I am also sure that there will be some things he remembers. My daughter loves roller coasters and rides, so this will be a great destination for her. I just love getting away once in a while, so I know I will have a great time! The Silver Dollar City Package being offered by Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel includes 2 nights accommodations, plus two adult tickets and two children’s tickets (ages 4 to 11) for two full days of fun at Silvery Dollar City. It also includes a $25 food and beverage voucher for Level 2 Steakhouse located on the second floor of the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. This two-night, three-day package starts at $455.00 plus tax. We can also reserve the same package at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing.

As if visiting the theme park isn’t enough to keep us busy, there are all kinds of shows, shopping and dining to be done in Branson. Maybe we need to go for longer than just a long weekend!! :-D
