Have you ever thought about all the people that are in movies that don’t have any lines? You know the ones, they’re in scenes, sort of in the background. These people are known as extras. They could be in a park while the main characters are are playing frisbee, or in a grocery aisle while the main characters are in the store. Did you know that all of those people are actually getting paid for what they’re doing? They don’t even have to memorize any lines and yet, they still can get their faces on camera. I’ve never done this myself, but I have always thought it would be fun, even more so since I just learned that movie extras earn from $100 up to $300 just for following simple directions. There aren’t too many requirements either, other than being 18 years old or older. It doesn’t matter where you live either because they film all over the country.
