The Olympics are almost over and then it’s time for football season! This is truly my husband’s favorite time of year. He’s been attempting to watch NFL preseason football games on television, but it’s difficult when we’re all wanting to watch the Olympics at the same time. Of course, I’m always on the computer while watching t.v., multi-tasking is what I call it. This would definitely not be a time when we would want to be without our television or internet service!

I’m going to be traveling all next week. I’ll have my laptop with me, but I have to admit, I am so accustomed to having high speed internet access that anything else just isn’t good enough! I will have a couple of nights in a hotel that will probably have high speed, but I will also have a couple of nights at my sister’s house who only has dial up access. Ugh!
I can’t blame my sister, she would love to have high speed access, it just isn’t available where she’s at. If Charter internet were available, I’d have her sign up right now. They’re currently offering the first 30 days risk-free and they don’t have any long term contracts. And, with pricing as low as $14.99/month, it’s very hard to beat. The current service comes with a high speed internet security service and 10 email accounts. That’s really good!
The Charter offer ends July 31.

I had such a fantastic Mother’s Day. I spent the morning with my own Mom while we were both visiting my sister in Kentucky. We got to chat and have breakfast together before getting in the car for a 4 hour drive to the airport in Louisville. She then went on to her summer home in Indiana and I got on an airplane to come home to have dinner with my own daughter in Texas. I felt like I’d been able to have my cake and eat it too! You see, it’s not often I get to spend Mother’s Day with my mom because we live so far apart.
No sooner did Mother’s Day end when my daughter asked me, “what are we going to do for Dad for Father’s Day?”. That’s right, Father’s Day is a few short weeks away.
I think I now have an answer for her. We can get him the nation’s BIGGEST HD television along with the BEST HD television service from Charter. I know what you’re thinking “how is she possibly going to be able to afford such an extravagant gift?” Well, I don’t have to buy it, I just have to have my daughter write a short essay on the subject of “Why does your Dad deserve the nation’s biggest HDTV?” and submit it to the Father’s Day in HD contest at Charter. Anyone living in the Charter Communication serviceable area is eligible to enter. The Grand Prize includes:
HDTV and FREE Charter HD service and The Charter Bundle for life
Other prizes for runner-ups include:
Charter’s Biggest Bundle, FREE for a year
FREE Charter HD service for a year
You can bet we’re entering the contest. If your father is in the Charter area, you should enter and do it by June 8!

In my seemingly never ending quest to find a Nintendo Wii, I am feeling somewhat defeated. Do you realize the Nintendo Wii game consoles were introduced to the public over a year ago and they still aren’t available in stores? What the heck is up with that? I think it’s a marketing strategy or else it’s very poor planning.
There are days when I’m okay with the fact that I haven’t yet become a Wii owner since the games themselves are $50+ each. But, they are pretty cool and so I continue my quest, someday, I do hope that we have our own Wii in our house.
I am an internet shopper, so it only seems natural that I would spend time online shopping for the Wii. Although I have yet to find it to purchase, I do occasionally run across other ways to get my hands on a Wii, mainly through contests. Today is no different.
In an effort to build their high-speed interenet business, Charter is offering the chance to win a Nintendo Wii. If I’m the winner, not only will I receive the Wii console, I’ll also get a Wii stand, 5 games, 1 remote controller, 1 nunchuck controller, 1 sensor bar, 1 Wii AC adapter, and 1 Wii AV cable. So, with all that, if I’m the winner, I can play as soon as I receive my prize! I’m definitely entering this contest.
Although I do plan on winning, Click Here for a Chance to Win a Nintendo® Wii™! and enter the contest yourself. Good Luck!
While you’re there, you can register to bid on a lifetime of Charter High-Speed Internet. Bids start at $10. Now, wouldn’t that be cool, never having to pay for internet service again!
