Conserving Energy
We’ve had so much going on in and around our home in the last couple of weeks, I feel like I’ve been doing nothing but cleaning. This past weekend was definitely that way. We had a crawling baby in the house for 5 days and there was no way I was letting her crawl around on dirty, dog hair covered floors, so I was sweeping and vacuuming every morning and a couple of times, I swept again in the afternoon. It makes it worse that the dog we have, you know the one that we were told wouldn’t shed too much, sheds constantly. Sometimes, I’d like to attach the dog to the end of a stick and use her to sweep up her own hair! (just kidding, you know I love this spoiled dog!)
Now that everyone is gone and we have a few weeks off before our next set of house guests, I’m ready to conserve my energy and give cleaning a rest. Yesterday I even found a way to re-energize myself and ignore the cleaning process all together. I spent the day floating on a raft in our swimming pool! It was the absolute most relaxing day I’ve had in a long time and I loved it! I would have repeated the activity again today, but alas, it rained.
Since I don’t have any type of robotic cleaning device, eventually, I will have to resume my daily cleaning routine. Either that or I will be wading through dog hair in a matter of days. At least by using the Dirt Devil AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac I can use 70% less electricity than my regular vacuum. These Dirt Devils have even earned the Energy Star approval.
