Warm and Fuzzy for Valentine’s Day

I was looking through some of the projects I completed this year and I ran across this cozy and warm fleece blanket.  It reminded me that Valentine’s Day is fast approaching!

This is a small cuddle blanket for a little one.  The edges of the fleece have been serged to prevent tearing or fraying and the cute embroidered heart lace was stitched on to form a nice secure edge.

If interested, this blanket is on sale for $15 + shipping.  You can leave me a comment and we can then work out the details.

My New Lands’ End Fleece Jacket

This is NOT a sponsored post, but I just have to talk about this.  I while back I entered a contest hosted by Elizabeth at Table For Five and guess what? I WON!

Lands End packageIn this lovely blue package was my prize and it was waiting for me on my doorstep when I returned from our trip to California and I couldn’t be happier.   I was so excited that I ripped it open as fast as I could and found the most wonderful fleece jacket inside from Land’s End.  To be more specific, it’s the Women’s Regular ThermaCheck® 100 Fleece Half-zip Pullover. It’s so light weight and yet so warm! I will be wearing this to my daughter’s softball tournament this weekend and may never take it off, it is so soft.

Be sure to visit Table for Five as there are contests being held on a fairly regular basis with great prizes!

Embroidered Fleece Baby Blanket

I had fun making this blanket, in fact, I made several of them. Each one is approximately 36″ square, a great size for travel or keeping in the car. The edge of the blanket was sewn on the serger giving it a nice finished edge before adding the lace trim. The blue blanket has a fleece binding instead of lace. The bunny and words are designed and machine embroidered by me.This is such a great baby gift, for only $15.

Fleece Baby Blankets

I have been having so much fun with my sewing machine lately! I have recently taken a break from sewing fabric bags so that I could spend some time creating some cute baby snuggle blankets. These are a bit smaller than a regular baby blanket, they’re perfect for cuddling with, especially because they are such soft fleece. They measure about 27″ x 27″. I completed this one this morning and just had to share it because I think it’s so darn cute!

By the way, I am selling these blankets for $15 each plus shipping and I will ship anywhere in the U.S.A. and Canada. If you’re interested, you can contact me at thesewingmom1(at)aol.com or simply leave me a comment here and I will respond to you.
