Room Makeover

Room Makeover

Most people I know have at least one room in their house, if not their entire house, that they would like to have made over. Some are certainly in more need than others. My house for instance had damaged walls and floors from the previous owners playing hockey indoors. While it’s major to me, it’s minor compared to what other people are dealing with. I know another blogger who showed pictures of her kitchen and there were electrical cords hanging from one corner of the ceiling to the opposite corner and then running down a wall. Everything needed to be re-wired, re-walled, re-floored and re-countered.

In case you hadn’t all ready heard, Renuzit TriScents has been hosting a room makeover contest. To enter, individuals needed to submit a video of the room they would like to have made over. Visit the semi-finalist gallery to vote for your favorite semi-finalist. The winner will win $20,000 and a home makeover from Tanya Memme. Voting is taking place until June 7, 2008.

I voted for the one in my picture. You would not believe what she has had to live with. Winning the Renuzit TriScents Home makeover contest would make her the happiest homeowner on earth.

My Dream Kitchen Makeover

My mom is here visiting and this morning I was having a discussion with her about my kitchen. I am the first one to admit that my kitchen is really quite large, but I also have to say, its not laid out in a very organized fashion and the counters are a harvest gold, straight out of the 70’s. The cupboards are damaged wood and really need to be refinished. This is all pretty surprising considering the house is only 6 years old, but the previous owners abused the house horribly and made it appear much older than it is. It’s a bit difficult to see in this picture, but all the wood trim is water damaged and the wood cupboards are really rough.

With my kitchen in mind, and after reading the official rules, I’m going to enter to win the $20,000 Home Makeover in the Renuzit TriScents Transform Your Home Promotion. If I won, I’d replace all the the counter tops with granite and have all the wood refinished. I’d also love to replace the island with a more useful shaped island and move the pantry closer to the cooking area. As a bonus, I’d install all stainless steel appliances, including a wine refrigerator.

It’s so easy to get started by first downloading a coupon to take with me to the grocery store to get a sample of Renuzit TriScents to use at home. Then, I can either submit a video or write an essay about why my kitchen needs a makeover and how Renuzit TriScents can help me. This is a win, win situation in my mind because I like having my home smell good and the Renuzit TriScents will help me with that. Then if I win the contest, my kitchen will look good too!

If any part of your home is in need of a makeover, check it out for yourself.

Win a Home Makeover!

I was just getting ready to head out to the store to pick up some home cleaning supplies when I ran across this fantastic opportunity to Win a $20,000 home makeover! It’s really very simple to enter to win and I’m glad I found this before leaving the house.First, download and print out the coupon,it’s really very easy, head to the store and purchase your new Renuzit® TriScents™ electric scented oil air freshener. Then, use the air freshener in your home. Create a video, less than 2 minutes in length about how the air freshener has helped to transform your home. If you don’t want to do a video, you can choose instead to submit a photo along with an 250 word essay.

My husband worked hard this weekend transforming our outdoor patio. He installed new outdoor speakers and lowered the patio ceiling fan to make it more useful. Now, I need to get busy inside. I’ve got a wall that looks like it has the chickenpox. I did nail hole repair and haven’t been able to match the paint to cover the spots. My daughter’s room is still painted lime green from the previous owners and the trim work in this house all needs re-painting. Maybe I’ll take care of buying paint while I’m out today too. Or, maybe I’ll just wait and submit a video to win this makeover so someone else can do it for me!

If you’d like to enter to win by showing how your home could use a makeover, you can see the official rules, make your video or write your essay and register to enter your submission.
