The Sewing Mom

Four more days of school and then it’s summer break. I took my daughter shopping at the mall the other day for some summer clothes, but, other than a swim suit and a couple of tops, we didn’t find too much. Of course, we didn’t find too much because I don’t like paying all the high prices. I can’t believe the prices for Junior Clothing, it’s nuts.

Today, I found a website that sells really cheap clothing and by cheap, I mean great low prices. I discovered that for a limited time, ALL of their denim is on sale for only $15 each! That’s incredible. Mind you, this isn’t cheap denim, it’s premium denim and it’s all on sale!

First I thought it was only going to be denim jeans, but they’ve got denim shorts and capris on sale for $15 each too. Guess what I’m buying? I might even get some for me. It’s hard to resist at these prices. This is a limited time offer, so don’t miss out!

I’m a sewer. Anyone who has read anything on my blog knows that I love to sew bags and purses. I’ve also been known to sew a few window treatments and costumes. One thing I don’t care to sew from scratch is clothing. I prefer to buy my clothes pre-made. Unfortunately, I don’t like to spend a lot of money on clothes and so, my closet does not have too much in it. The up side of this is I keep up with my laundry or I won’t have anything to wear. The down side, I wear the same things over and over.

I was wearing a pair of jeans the other day, one of only two pair that I own, and realized there was a hole near the zipper. The jeans are so old that the fabric is just worn. I really need to buy a new pair, or two. I hate trying on jeans though, it’s almost as bad as trying on bathing suits. It’s just so hard to find a pair that fit and to not spend a fortune.
