Four Foods On Friday – Hallelujah!

I cannot even begin to tell you how thankful I am that it’s time for my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday. I’m short on time, so I’m just going to get down to business and so, here are this weeks questions and my answers. If you’d like to participate, click on the above link and givel Valmg a visit!

#1. Suggest a question for FFOF. Something fun is in store for the one whose question is chosen. My suggested question relates to the outdoor grill: Do you cook items besides meat on the bbq grill, and, do you prefer gas or charcoal grills?

#2. Share instructions on how to make your favorite smoothee or shake. Well, since I haven’t found my blender since we moved 2 years ago, I haven’t made any smoothies or shakes. I do make yogurt parfaits, does that count? I add blueberries, blackberries and/or strawberries to vanilla yogurt, in layers. I top it with granola and it’s delicious.

#3. What’s in your favorite panini? I love strips of chicken, cheese and spinach in my favorite Lean Cuisine pan
ini!

#4. Share a recipe for potato salad. I chop my potatoes, cook them in boiling water until they are soft, but not mushy. I then put them in a bowl with some chopped onion, some mayonnaise, a couple of tablespoons of yellow mustard and some chopped celery. I add a dash of pepper and about a tsp. of celery salt. I usually add some chopped boiled egg. I garnish with sliced boiled egg and paprika.

Four Foods on Friday # 71

It’s that magic time of week, Friday, and that brings me to my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday. If you’d like to participate, click the link and have fun!

This weeks questions and my answers:

Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. What’s your favorite cereal? I do believe I would have to say it would be Cap’n Crunch. Truth is, it’s so expensive (not to mention it’s not the healthiest cereal), I don’t get to eat it very often.

#2. What do you use to flip food on the stove? I use a spatula.

#3. What’s your favorite type of donut? I love the Bavarian Creme filled at Krispy Kreme, especially if it’s right out of the oven with fresh cream! YUM!

#4. Share a rice recipe. Chicken and rice

mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 c water and a dash of paprika and pepper in a casserole dish. Add 1 c of uncooked rice. Brown boneless chicken breast and place on top of rice mixture. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until chicken is done.

Four Foods on Friday #68

This week has flown by and I can’t believe it’s Friday! I have to work both days of the weekend, so I’m not really celebrating the end of the week, however, it is still time for my favorite meme and so, here it is.

If you would like to participate in Four Foods on Friday, head over to Fun, Crafts and Recipes and check it out!

This weeks questions and my answers:

#1. Coffee. Do you use ground, bean or pods? I use whole bean and grind one bag at a time. A bag usually lasts us about a week and a half.

#2. Coffee filters. Do you use paper, gold or other? I use filters made from recycled paper.

#3. Tea. Do you prefer tea bags, loose tea or something else? I always use tea bags, I’m not good at measuring tea to get it the right strength.

#4. Share a recipe for something you like to eat with coffee or tea. Well, my favorite thing to eat with coffee is probably the frosted lemon pound cake at Starbucks. I’ve never actually made it myself though. I don’t even like the coffee at Starbucks, but will occasionally get a cafe mocha latte there though.

Finally! Four Foods on Friday!

I have survived the last week, and trust me when I tell you, there were a number of days when I didn’t think I would. My blogs imploded, I’m working my new job which is adding a truck load of stress, I had orders for sewing projects and I have company coming in one week’s time and I need to be getting my house in order. In the end, I am thankful for my blogging friends, they really pulled me through the last week and helped me regain some control over the chaos.

One of those friends is Val who hosts Four Foods on Friday and she has kindly offered to help me update with Wordpress on both of my blogs and I will be asking her to do just that very soon. Rebecca was able to get the huge kinks worked out and dealt with my host to get my blogs enabled and I still can’t thank her enough. I want to send her a HUGE hug!

In the mean time, I want to celebrate the fact that I survived it all by getting back into the swing of things and participating in my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday. Here are this week’s questions and my answers:

#1. Potato chips. Flavored? Regular, ridged or stacked? I prefer flavored chips unless there is a good dip, then I like plain. Ruffles are excellent with ranch dip!

#2. Cheese doodles. Yellow or white? Puffed or crunchy? I don’t eat these much, but when I do, I like yellow and puffy.

#3. Pretzels? Your favorite shape? Favorite flavor? I like round or “pretzel” shaped, regular flavor and salty.

#4. Share a recipe for salsa or dip. Take one package of softened cream cheese and place it on a serving dish. Shred one package of crab meat and sprinkle over the top of the cream cheese. Serve. As the “mound” gets dipped into, the crab meat will be pushed into the cream cheese and it tastes wonderful. :-D

Four Foods on Friday – And TGIF!

Today is the end of a very stressful week of training on my new job. Two more weeks to go and then I’ll be working from home which will at least alleviate the stress of the commute to and from work!

To celebrate that it’s Friday, I’m kicking it off with my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday sponsored by Valmg of Fun, Crafts and Recipes. To participate, just head on over to her blog and check it out, it’s super easy!

This week’s questions and my answers:

#1. What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever made with bread? Well, most people probably wouldn’t think it was odd, but I made bread pudding once and let me tell you, it came out very odd indeed! Let’s just say it was not edible!

#2. What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever done with mac and cheese or pasta? I’m a pretty basic cook, so I don’t do too much odd stuff, on purpose anyway. It could be that because I’ve yet to drink my coffee this morning, I just can’t think of an answer!

#3. Is there a food you eat other then it is intended? Occasionally I’ll take a pancake, sprinkle it with sugar and roll it up to eat it. Sometimes I just don’t feel like eating syrup.

#4. What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever seen? Cow lips (saw it on t.v.).
