This is what happens if I even attempt to lay out fabric on the floor! Guess she thought I was laying it all down there just for her to lay on. If I attempted to relocate the fabric squares to another area of the floor, she’d just relocate herself!
We just finalized last minute plans to go to California for Thanksgiving. We had been wanting to do this, but the flights were unavailable. Must be a lot of trip cancellations or something because over the weekend we were able to find flights using my husband’s frequent flyer miles. So, on Monday, the flights were booked. That left me with less than 2 wees to find a kennel where Plinko could be boarded while we were gone. We’ve never left her before, and she is truly pampered, can you tell?
So, I asked a friend and she gave me information on a wonderful pampered pooch kennel not too far from us. I called them this morning and, to my amazement, they had availability over Thanksgiving! I was so excited! I made Plinko’s reservation immediately.
This kennel has dog “suites”, not cages. Each suite has a bed and tiled floor. During the day, the dogs are in playrooms, sectioned off according to their personality. Each playroom has indoor/outdoor access and lots of toys. They also have webcams so we’ll be able to log on and see our baby!
They’re a little pricey, but the price includes the food, play time (most of the day) and all the treats, including a treat filled kong at night. These are all extras at other kennels, so really, by the time I add it all up, it’s not so bad. I’m just relieved that I got her in and know she’ll be well cared for while we’re gone.
So, I’m still thinking about all these photos I’ve got loaded on my two computers and wondering how I can possible narrow down to come up with the cutest one to submit to a contest. I could sure use some prize money, so I’m going to have to give this some serious thought. Here is just a small sampling of the photos I have of Plinko, our puggle.
I thought you might like to see what happens when I sit down to drop my Entrecards. I tend to do my drops in the early afternoon which seems to coincide with the time of day our dog wants to get lazy and take a good nap. Her eyes were closed and she was in a deep sleep until I reached for the camera. She is a dog who wants to be right with you at all times, a super cuddler. She also likes to lay her head on my laptop and has a tendency to inadvertently press buttons, driving me crazy! She keeps me company during the day though and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
