My oh my, we’ve been so busy lately and I hate it! I’m so tired, and here I sit, 12:30 A.M. and still blogging. That’s what happens when a person can’t sleep.
I think after this post, I’m going to bed. I believe I may finally be able to get some sleep. It’s been an exhausting two weeks that ended this evening with my daughter playing her guitar in front of a live audience. She was so very calm and did a fabulous job. She only played two songs, but I’m so very proud. Her second song she was joined by two other professional guitarists playing backup and a professional singer singing the chorus.
As soon as I can find time to download the video, I will try to post it here. This was our final big even for a while. Now, hopefully, we can get a few errands done tomorrow and get back to a calmer life.
Good night!

When I’m stressed, I eat. Do you?
This week has been so exhausting and stressful, just getting ready for our Destination Imagination tournament today. I found myself eating things that I normally wouldn’t eat.
Due to my daughter’s birthday celebration last weekend, we had junk food in the house that normally isn’t here: Cheetos, potato chips, brownies, cake, etc. I found myself getting these things out of the pantry, especially in the evenings when I was so tired and yet, still had so much to get done. It was my way of dealing with the stress.
I’ve been doing really well since January with my eating habits, so this week, I’m feeling very disappointed in myself. I found a website, www.ShrinkYourself.com that offers an Emotional Eating Center where I found free articles and tips for dealing with my emotional eating. They even have a mobile “Emotional Eating Intervention” program I can use on my cell phone.
They offer a free interactive personalized emotional eating session that I’m checking out. I know that the stress of Destination Imagination will pass, but I don’t like that I want to eat when I get stressed. It’s just not healthy. I’d like to learn how to overcome being an emotional eater.
