All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go….
I leave first thing tomorrow morning and will spend the next 5 days in Kentucky with my family. My niece will graduate from nursing school, something she’s been working towards for a long time and we’re all so very proud of her.
I want to apologize to all my regular EC droppers because I won’t be able to reciprocate until at least Monday. I’m afraid I won’t have access to the internet until then. I will miss you all!

I have the television on, as I usually do in the morning, and I was intrigued by a travel story I just heard about New Zealand.
My husband and I have always talked about traveling to Australia, I may just have to check on flights to New Zealand after hearing of all the wonderful things to see and do there. New Zealand is known for it’s beautiful beaches and water sports and there are also lakes, walking trails and even vineyards to visit. If you prefer the ocean, there are dolphin and whales to be seen as well.
I’m going to certainly be talking to my husband about possibly planning a trip to New Zealand for our 25th wedding anniversary. If we start saving now, we’ll be able to go on a trip of a lifetime!

My 6th grade daughter came up with registration information last week for Junior High. I am stunned by the fact that she is not only almost finished with Elementary school, but in two years she’ll be a Freshman in High School! Let’s not even talk about the fact that in 6 years, she’ll be graduating from High School.
Believe it or not, I all ready have an idea of what I would like to give her for a graduation gift. She has a dream of visiting Africa, and I’d like to help her realize that dream. When I was her age, my parents lived overseas, and I was fortunate enough to get to travel with them many times. One of those trips was a photo safari in Kenya. I would love to be able to do that again, this time with my husband and daughter. It is the most amazing place.
I realize that I need to not only be saving for college, but I need to be saving for this trip as well. I’ve been checking prices on flights to Egypt and Kenya both. I always wanted to go visit the Great Pyramid and as much as we love history, I know my family would enjoy this too. One of my favorite times to watch National Geographic is when they’re showing Egypt and all of it’s many treasures.
I’ll definitely be looking into package deals. While I’m beginning to plan this trip now, I also know that I have to take into account inflation. I feel that as long as I have a savings plan in place, I’ll get there. This is something that I really want to do, a trip of a lifetime.
Plus, if I sell my hand made fabric bags like I plan to, that money can help too!
